BUCKEYE HORIZON

Mark Albert and Steve Donnenwirth formed Horizon Mechanical in March of 1993. We started working primarily on commercial new construction plumbing, heating, and electrical jobs. We maintained offices in spare rooms at each of our homes to keep costs low.  By June of 93 we were in need of help and hired 2 additional people to handle the workload, by the end of 93 Horizon was at 6 employees.  In 94 we started to make roads in not only the Service but the residential replacement market by picking up the Bryant Equipment line.

By the end of 94 we had grown to 10 employees, and had constructed a 2,000 square ft. shop at my home.  Then in 95 Mark Albert purchased the name and assets of Horizon Mechanical & Electrical.
At that point Horizon ceased to do electrical type of work.  So Horizon concentrated on the Plumbing and HVAC side of the business.

By the end of 1996 Horizon Mechanical had grown to 15 employees and had outgrown our facilities.  We moved into a facility that we constructed located at 180 Industrial Dr. in Lexington in March of 1997.  Another key event at the beginning of 97 was to join Contractors 2000.  Which is an organization of leading service contractors from all over the country that is dedicated to improving their businesses? C2000’s motto is “Success Through Education and Sharing”.  That is when we switched our business into 3 Divisions – Residential and Light Commercial Plumbing & HVAC Service, Installation and Replacement of Residential Heating and Air Conditioning Equipment, and Commercial HVAC and Plumbing New Construction.

In 2001 Horizon Mechanical purchased the assets of Buckeye Richland from Bob Stoffer who was looking to retire.  We merged the two companies together and moved to our current location at 323 N. Trimble Rd the home for 40 plus years of Buckeye Richland.  Buckeye has always been known in the greater Mansfield area as a high quality, and very professional contractor.  That tradition carries on today at Buckeye Horizon.

Out of that merger our current company was formed with a strong commitment to customer service and loyalty.  Our company mission statement is Nice People, Fair Prices, and Prompt Service.  Our current staff is approximately 25 employees working in 3 divisions.  We carry licenses for Plumbing, HVAC, Hydronics, and Refrigeration.  We are also DOT Gas line certified as well as licensed for testing Backflow Preventors.  Are service department technicians and installers hold NATE certification and are EPA certified for refrigerant handling.

Training is one of our highest priorities, all staff receive training in Customer Loyalty, as well as our installers and service personnel receive weekly technical training, and hold various certifications.

We truly do Respect your home and business, we take great pride in the fact we wear shoe covers and use drop clothes to protect your property.  We will not swear or use tobacco product while in your home, they will leave your home or business neat, and will courteously answer any questions or concerns.

Buckeye Horizon is a Drug Free workplace.  All work is performed by background checked and drug tested technicians.

We quote all service work before we start, so you know what the repairs will cost before we begin the work.

Our service trucks are fully stocked with many of the replacement parts needed so that we can finish the work same day as we start.

We back up our work with great warranties from our manufacturers as well as with our own warranties.
